Library stocks are an important part of the national information resources. Conservation of this invaluable information for the generations to come is one of the priorities of the activities of our state. It is stated in the Constitution of the Russian Federation and proved in the National Security Strategy of the Russian Federation up to 2020 confirmed by the President’s decree of 12 May 2009.
State-of-the-art Zeutschel and Agfa technical appliances implemented in RNPLS&T allow to create microfilms with background thickness and contrast, such as allow printing out and scanning.
Use of the multilevel coding system in microfilming a document allows a wide range of opportunities while digitalizing the microfilm.
They plan to use widely these opportunities while working with documents within the framework of the “Program of access to and conservation of the most valuable and unique scientific and technical documents which constitute national, historical and culural heritage”.
