New acquisitions reading room

Floor 2, Room 202

The RNPLS&T’s reading room of new acquisitions introduces new publications to the Library users on a regular basis.

The displays are changed weekly, on Fridays. Domestic and foreign books and journals, dissertation abstracts, abstract journals are exhibited here.

The exhibited materials are organized by topics. Monthly, approximately 3,000 new publications in various disciplines are displayed in open access.

In the reading room you will find OPACs and get access to digital and image catalogs and the new acquisitions database. The available bibliographies reflect the materials exhibited currently and previously.

The reading room database enables users to locate any book or journal acquired by RNPLS&T, even those that have not arrived to their depository yet.

In the reading room the access is also provided to the limited distribution documents. The special collection comprises domestic publications and digital documents which are unrestricted institutional materials classified “For office use only”. To access this collection, users must produce appropriate documents.

The priority information services are offered to researchers and professionals in various sciences and industries on the contract basis. The RNPLS&T and organizations sign appropriate agreements for 6 or 12 months. Under the agreement, priority services are provided weekly: information on domestic and foreign materials acquired by RNPLS&T despite their further storage location, selection, prompt copying, and emailing bibliographies on subject. The statement of work completion (Act) is signed.
