Visit of the Director General of the National Library of Jordan

On July 18, 2019, the Russian National Public Library for Science and Technology welcomed Prof. Dr. Nidal Al-Ahmad. Director General of the National Library of Jordan, and his wife.
On the part of the Russian National Public Library for Science and Technology, Dr. Yakov Shrayberg, Director General, Galina Evstigneeva, Deputy Director General for Library Services, Elena Lindeman, Deputy Director General for Research, Methodology, Education and Publishing, and Svetlana Silaeva, Head of International Cooperation Department, attended the meeting.

Possible vectors of cooperation between the Jordan National Library (NLJ) and RNPLS&T were discussed, e. g. holding joint international events, or NLJ participation in the world forums held by the RNPLS&T. The parties expressed their willingness to prepare and sign a collaboration agreement.
After the meeting, the guests were taken to the guided tour of the RNPLS&T’s exhibitions and displays. They were also handed over the RNPLS&T’s information materials, souvenirs and invitations to attend the 23th International Conference and Exhibition «LIBCOM-2019».
