The OCLC representatives in our library

On December 4, 2019, the OCLC (Online Computer Library Center) representatives visited the Russian National Public Library for Science and Technology. The meeting was held between OCLC and RNPLS&T officers.

For the part of OCLC, Mr. Christian Negrel, Director for Library Solutions (Paris, France) and Ms. Rosanna Ramacciotti, Regional Director, Leiden, The Netherlands, took part in the meeting.

On the part of RNPLS&T, Elena Lindeman, Acting Director General, Dr. Yakov Shrayberg, Academic Adviser, Yulia Sokolova, Acting Deputy director General for Science and Innovation, Galina Evstigneeva, Director of Library Collections Generation and Preservation Center, Ksenia Volkova, Assistant to Director General for International Cooperation, and Svetlana Silaeva, Head of the International Cooperation Department, attended.

During the meeting, the issues of potential cooperation were discussed, in particular, the possibility of hosting the RNPLS&T’s Union Catalog at OCLC’s resources and providing EDD services. Besides, the possibility for OCLC professionals participation in the “Crimea-2020” Forum was considered.
The guests were offered the guided tour of the Library and were handed information materials on the Library, as well as the letter of announcement of the Sixth World Professional Forum “Crimea-2020”.
