International Research and Practice Conference “Information technologies in science, business and education”

 

MSLU ConfOn November 26-27, 2020, XII International Research and Practice Conference of students, postgraduates and young researchers “Information technologies in science, business and education” was held online. This year topic was “Supporting digital sovereignty of the state”. Moscow State Linguistic University was the conference organizer.

At the conference sessions, experts also discussed the following problems: global information safety issues, digital education environment, national interests and international collaboration for information and communication infrastructure development, transformation processes in the world information space.

At the concluding session, the prizes were awarded to the best presenters: O. V. Timofeeva, P. K. Tarasova and V. V. Gorelova; their papers were acknowledged  as the most interesting and unique. Encouragement awards were also given to M. O. Bessonova and Kang Qiongqiong.

On November 27, within the framework of the section session, Yakov L. Shrayberg, Dr. Sc. (Enineeing), Head of MSLU E-libraries and Scientometric Studies Chair, President of the National Library Association “Libraries of the Future” (NALF), RNPLS&T Academic Advisor, President of ELNIT International Association, Corresponding Member of Russian Academy of Education, delivered his paper «Transformation of copyright in the digital education environment”. He said, in particular, that in the modern world the academic libraries had been transforming into information centers to provide users with the access to the global information space. The libraries gradually become the core of learning process, make information accessible and educate information culture in students.
