ProQuest Day Workshop

On October 5, a ProQuest Day seminar was held at the State Scientific and Technical Library of Russia. It was held in a mixed format and was dedicated to the topic "Access to scientific and technical information for research, teaching and learning in the context of the use of distance educational technologies". The organizers of the event are GPNTB of Russia together with MIVERCOM LLC and ProQuest company.

 Alexander S. Karaush, General Director of the State Scientific and Technical Library of Russia, opened the event and welcomed the participants, noting the successful and fruitful cooperation of the State Scientific and Technical Library of Russia with ProQuest for many years.
The participants of the seminar were also welcomed by the certified trainer of ProQuest in Russia Alexander V. Lipensky and the head of the Agency for Foreign Information Resources LLC "MIVERCOM" Elena G. Mikhailovskaya.
Presentations were made by: Anna V. Trifonova, regional representative of ProQuest in Russia, administrator of the placement of electronic resources of the Library and Publishing Complex of the Siberian Federal University (BIC SFU) Galina I. Parfenova, Regional Director for Historical Collections Krassimira G. Petrova, certified trainer of ProQuest in Russia Alexander V. Lipensky and Chief Librarian of the M. Gorky Scientific Library of St. Petersburg State University (St. Petersburg State University) Ekaterina M. Polnikova.
The seminar participants learned about the features of the updated ProQuest platform, about the new extended access option to e-books, updated collections, conditions for the placement of dissertations and much more.
