The exhibition "The Epoch of the Anthropocene"

The exhibition "The Epoch of the Anthropocene" is open at the Russian National Public Library for Science and Technology in the Hall of Literature on ecology and priority areas of science and technology (room 210) from June 30 to July 31, 2022. The exhibition presents materials that examine the impact of human activity on the appearance of the planet. In the publications, the authors touch on many painful points of human civilization at the beginning of the XXI century. Forest fires, floods, oil spills, destruction of the ozone layer and much more as a consequence of increased human activity. The materials of the exhibition analyze the discussions around the concept of "anthropocene". Why does this term make us reconsider the usual way of thinking about nature? Is there a way to overcome the apathy and helplessness inevitably associated with talking about the environmental crisis? The publications consider situations related to environmental pollution, offer practical solutions to minimize the negative impact of human activity and preserve natural resources.
