Exhibition ""Planet of the World Ocean""

The exhibition "Planet of the World Ocean" is open in the Russian National Public Library for Science and Technology in the lobby of the 2nd floor of the main building from January 23 to March 19, 2023. The books presented at the exhibition fascinatingly tell about the history of the origin, evolution and centuries–old study of the water element, about how man conquered the vast expanses of the sea, what a long way the discovery of the ocean went - from the first sea voyages to modern research.
The exhibition is intended for a wide range of readers interested in the sciences of the Earth and the oceans.

During the preparation of the exhibition, publications from the fund of the Russian National Public Library for Science and Technology were used: encyclopedic, reference and popular science publications, collections of scientific papers and materials on the history of oceanology, memoirs of participants of various expeditions, as well as publications from electronic library systems "ZNANIUM.COM " and "Doe".
