Exhibition "Alexander Kotov's Multifaceted Talent"
From August 8 to September 8, 2023, an exhibition of literature "Alexander Kotov's Multifaceted Talent" dedicated to the 110th anniversary of the birth of Alexander Alexandrovich Kotov (1913-1981) is open in the Department of Business and Chess Information of the Russian National Public Library for Science and Technology (3rd floor, room 315).
Grandmaster Alexander Alexandrovich Kotov was a brilliant chess player, the champion of the USSR, the winner of many tournaments, a participant in the contenders for the world championship. Kotov was an engineer by profession. During the Great Patriotic War, he worked in the design bureau and was awarded the highest award – the Order of Lenin for the development of a modification of a 120–millimeter regimental mortar.
The exhibition includes books by Kotov himself and materials dedicated to him.
