Exhibition "Engineering Seismology"

The exhibition "Engineering Seismology" is open at the Russian National Public Library for Science and Technology in the catalogues and Reference Bibliographic literature hall of the main library building from July 28 to August 28, 2023. In the publications presented at the exhibition, examples of calculation and basic principles of designing various types of buildings and structures for seismic areas are considered, information on engineering seismology, theory of seismic resistance is provided, various methods of seismic protection and seismic isolation are presented, problems of operation of buildings and structures damaged by an earthquake are highlighted. In addition, topical issues of strengthening existing buildings and structures built without taking into account the possible impact of seismic loads are considered.
