Exhibition "Innovative models for attracting extra-budgetary funds: crowdfunding, fundraising, endowment"
The exhibition "Innovative models for attracting extra-budgetary funds: crowdfunding, fundraising, endowment" is open from November 29 to December 25, 2024 in the reading room of the Business Information Cabinet, 3rd floor, room 315.
Many modern organizations, both business-building and non-profit, are actively looking for new methods of attracting resources to finance their projects. In cases where obtaining bank loans is difficult or impossible, and there is no budget financing or it is insufficient, an increasing number of companies are switching to new models of attracting extra-budgetary funds, such as crowdfunding, fundraising and endowment.
Crowdfunding – "people's financing". Fundraising can serve various purposes – helping victims of natural disasters, financing startup companies and small businesses, as well as scientific, creative, social, environmental and other ideas. It should be noted that crowdfunding is a special case of the broader phenomenon of crowdsourcing. sourcing is the provision of resources), which is the process of attracting an unlimited number of people through digital technologies to solve certain tasks. To achieve these goals, various resources of interested parties can be used – money, knowledge, skills, ideas, technical means, etc.
Fundraising is the collection of donations, the involvement of third–party resources for the implementation of socially significant tasks, cultural projects or the maintenance of the existence of an organization.
An endowment is the endowment capital of a non–profit organization; it is a part of the property of a non-profit organization formed through donations, transferred to the trust management of a management company to generate income used to finance the statutory activities of these organizations.
The exhibition presents literature on relatively new, but increasingly used models for attracting extra-budgetary funds: an analysis of the work of crowdfunding platforms and ways of interacting with investors is carried out (Section 3); various options for attracting third-party resources for the implementation of socially significant tasks in fundraising are analyzed (Section 4); the advantages of financial stability in obtaining income from an endowment are separately considered (Section 5).
The exhibition is addressed to the heads of companies and non-profit organizations, researchers, students and teachers of economic and legal specialties, as well as anyone interested in alternative investment issues
