Metallurgy: technologies and innovations

 

 

The exhibition presents monographs, collections of works and conference materials, articles from periodicals and textbooks devoted to modern development trends and the most important problems of domestic metallurgy. The materials of the exhibition highlight the results of scientific research and practical work on the creation of mathematical models, the theoretical foundations of knowledge-intensive and resource-saving technologies in metallurgy; the results of scientific research and practical experience in creating new materials and technologies for heat treatment of metal are reflected; a number of methodological developments are proposed, including: a methodological approach to assessing the possibilities of new industrialization, methodological tools for forecasting innovative and technological development of metallurgy, a methodology for evaluating high-tech technologies for processing technogenic metallurgical raw materials.

Abstract: The issues of obtaining steel ingots, including large ones, in modern production conditions are considered. A detailed analysis of their quality, features of the structure and structure, internal defects and the causes of their occurrence is given. Based on many years of research, the authors present developments on ingots of a new configuration – with a modified configuration of the bottom part ("convex" pallet), double ingots for obtaining long forgings, ingots for hollow forgings with a closed profitable part. Laboratory and industrial studies have shown that these technologies provide a significant improvement in the quality of ingots by regulating the rate of metal crystallization, reducing liquation processes, reducing the number and extent of axial defects. Much attention is paid in the monograph to the management of solidification processes at the stage of casting the melt. An innovative technology of liquid-solid casting of metal in a vacuum due to the generation of a drip zone of the jet during the casting of large ingots has been studied and developed. Attention is paid to the development of optimal parameters of ingots for obtaining high-quality rolled products of large diameter (over 300 mm), which guarantee the absence of axial defects of the workpieces. The results presented in the monograph can be useful to engineering and technical workers of metallurgical and machine-building enterprises, research organizations, university teachers, as well as students and postgraduates studying in the field of "Metallurgy".

New results of work on obtaining an ultra-low content of impurity elements in the finished metal according to special technological processes developed by the authors are presented. The main attention in the monograph is paid to the methods of removing harmful impurities from the metal during melting in vacuum, as well as neutralizing their harmful effect by introducing REM into alloys. The results of research on the use of up to 100% of foundry waste, including substandard waste generated at engine-building plants, in the melting process are presented. The issues of the use of modern vacuum melting equipment for the production of high-quality cast bar blanks and the main provisions of the modern technology for the production of heat-resistant cast alloys are also considered. The publication is intended for scientific and engineering workers (metallurgists, metal scientists, technicians) working in the field of aviation engineering.

The main components of the technical and economic efficiency of new electrical technologies are presented, their impact on the biosphere, in particular, in the NFC processes, is analyzed; new NFC schemes with a higher level of social adaptation are proposed. Scenarios have been developed for the phased processing of iron ore waste with the extraction of useful components by chemical methods, the restoration of disturbed lands and the creation of recreational zones in the liberated territories. Recommendations and technological solutions for year-round processing of iron ore waste by chemical methods are proposed.
