Advances in vision technology
The materials of the exhibition set out the fundamental foundations, concepts, laws related to various sections of optics. Information is given about geometrical, physical, physiological optics; about new results of theoretical and experimental research in the field of optical engineering and technology. The multi-sided possibilities of application of optical technologies in industrial engineering, laser metalworking, transport equipment, industrial measuring equipment, optoelectronic instrumentation, medicine are considered.
During the preparation of the exhibition, monographs, textbooks, conference materials, abstracts of dissertations from the fund of the State Scientific and Technical Library of Russia and electronic library systems "Lan" were used, "Znanium.com ", IPRbooks (IPR SMART).

Abstract: The presentation of the educational material is based on the electromagnetic theory of light in compliance with the requirements of the unity of theory and experiment. Considerable attention is paid to the interaction of optical radiation with matter, interpreted within the framework of semi-classical and (where necessary) quantum theory. Along with the traditional issues of optics, topics important for understanding the current state of optics, such as statistical and coherent properties of optical radiation, spectral decomposition, electronic theory of dispersion, optical resonators, the resolving power of optical and spectral devices, photoelectric measurements, holography, the basics of nonlinear optics, are much stricter and more detailed than usual. Much attention is paid to the analysis of the properties of laser radiation and the use of lasers in a physical experiment. Each paragraph of the manual is provided with control questions, the purpose of which is to draw the student's attention to the main provisions of the topic being studied. The tasks to which solutions, instructions or answers are given form an organic part of the educational material necessary for an exhaustive understanding of the issue being studied. The tasks can be used for practical classes at seminars and as tasks for independent work of students. The textbook is intended for university students studying in physical training areas. As a very modern and fairly brief reference guide, the book is also useful for specialists working in various fields of physics and engineering.

Abstract: The textbook was created on the basis of long-term practice of teaching the discipline "Experimental Physics" in an Academic gymnasium. The manual outlines the basics of the electromagnetic theory of light, interference and diffraction from the experimental standpoint, so the cumbersome mathematical apparatus is minimized and emphasis is placed on approximations, estimates and the scale of the optical range of electromagnetic waves. The methods of Fresnel zones and vector diagrams that allow us to quantitatively describe the diffraction pattern of high symmetry are considered in detail. Fresnel diffraction and its limiting case, Fraunhofer diffraction, are determined. The limit of applicability of geometric optics is indicated. The manual is intended for students of the final grades of schools of physics and mathematics and the first courses of non-physical specialties of universities. It will be useful for teachers of these educational institutions when organizing laboratory work on optics.

Abstract: The monograph presents the theory of translationally invariant polarons and bipolarons based on the theory of compressed vacuum wave functions. It is shown that the Tuluba ansatz, which establishes a connection between the generalized Bogolyubov transformation and the unitary compression operator, provides a solution to the spectral problem for the bipolaron. The solutions obtained are used to construct a theory of superconductivity based on the Frelich Hamiltonian with a strong electron-phonon interaction. The role of Cooper pairs in it is played by TI-bipolarons of spatially delocalized electrons with a small correlation length. The constructed theory explains a large number of experiments on thermodynamic, spectroscopic and transport characteristics of high-temperature superconductors, Josephson tunneling, photoemission spectroscopy with angular resolution, neutron scattering, etc.

Although the main attention is paid to the optical range of the radiation spectrum, in a number of schemes it can also be microwave or replaced by other sources of excitation of the medium. For one-dimensional, two-dimensional and three-dimensional solitons, their internal structure determined by energy flows, the topology of these flows, symmetry and its connection with the motion of solitons and their complexes are revealed.

Abstract: The monograph develops the application of linear parametrization of the group GL(4,C) of complex transformations in 4-dimensional space. The basis is the ability to decompose any (4H4)-dimensional matrix according to the 16-dimensional basis of Dirac matrices, thereby obtaining a unified parametrization of the group and all its subgroups. The question of linear parametrization of the unitary group SU(4) is studied. The Dirac representation of Gell-Mann matrices is investigated. The formalism is applied to the development of the mathematical apparatus of polarization optics by Stokes-Muller and Jones, while demonstrating the unity of mathematical methods for describing symmetry in relativistic physics with the methods used in polarization optics. In particular, the application of 2- and 4-dimensional spinors in polarization optics is considered; restoration of 3- and 4-dimensional Muller matrices from polarization measurements; reduction of Muller quadratic forms to a diagonal form; description of general-type Muller transformations by subsets of degenerate matrices with a semigroup structure; classification of such degenerate transformations, etc. It is addressed to researchers, teachers of higher educational institutions, as well as graduate students and students specializing in theoretical physics.
