In near-Earth orbit

   

 

In the publications presented at the exhibition, an overview of spacecraft and complexes is given, the main directions of development of telemetry and information control systems of rocket and space technology, issues of spacecraft control in near-Earth space are considered. The results of research in the field of satellite communications and navigation, materials on topical issues of the development of methods and systems of remote sensing of the Earth and the use of satellite monitoring technologies are presented.

During the preparation of the exhibition, monographs, abstracts of dissertations, conference materials, textbooks and manuals from the fund of the State Scientific Library of Russia, as well as publications from the scientific electronic library were used "eLIBRARY.RU ", "Znanium.com ", "IPR SMART" for the last five years.

The materials of the exhibition can be useful to researchers and engineers, as well as teachers, graduate students and university students of the relevant fields.

Abstract: The publication is a reconstruction of the first four chapters of Professor E. P. Aksenov's monograph "Theory of motion of artificial satellites of the Earth", published in 1977. Its content corresponded to the level of scientific achievements of that time. The main attention was paid to the derivation of formulas necessary for practical applications. An intermediate orbit based on the generalized problem of two fixed centers was constructed with an accuracy of the second order with respect to a small parameter of compression of the Earth. In this book, instead of the output of formulas, a description of computational algorithms is presented. The accuracy of the algorithms is limited only by the accumulation of rounding errors.

Abstract: Predicting the motion of an artificial Earth satellite (ISS) makes it possible to assess the space situation in the zones of operation of ground-based surveillance at any predetermined time, to make demands on the accuracy of measuring instruments, the reliability of forecasting results. The article formulates the formulation and provides an algorithm for solving the problem of predicting the movement of a satellite in near-Earth space. A model is presented for solving the problem of predicting the motion of a satellite in near-Earth space, which is implemented as a virtual instrument in the LabVIEW 15 programming package. The software product is designed for visual training of specialists in the field of space control. During the implementation, assumptions were made about the undisturbed motion of the satellite, about the spherical shape of the Earth's surface; it is considered that the satellite fell into the visibility zone of the observation station if its angle of location is greater than the value characterizing the station. An example of implementation for a satellite with specified motion parameters and coordinates of the observation station is given.

Abstract: The book is devoted to the theory of spacecraft control in near-Earth space. The authors consistently present the basics of the modern theory of control of mechanical systems, the motion of which is described by ordinary differential equations containing control functions. The first chapters provide the necessary information on celestial mechanics, without knowledge of which it is impossible to undertake the task of controlling in space. Since control in space is carried out with limited accuracy, far from the so-called astronomical accuracy, non-relativistic celestial mechanics is considered. The theory is applied to two classes of problems. The first one deals with the control of the orientation of the spacecraft, the movement of the center of mass of which is assumed to be known. In the second class, the motion control of the spacecraft is considered as a material point in order to transfer it from one orbit to another, which meets the tasks for which the satellite is launched. The publication of this work will be useful for specialists in spacecraft motion control, as well as graduate and undergraduate students of the relevant profile.

Abstract: The problem of active stabilization of the oscillations of an artificial satellite using low-thrust jet engines is considered. The satellite moves in a circular orbit and in the plane of the orbit oscillates around the center of mass. Relay control is used to minimize fuel consumption. The condition of the control object is not exactly known, but it is being refined as a result of discrete inaccurate measurements. Therefore, the problem of optimal on average control of a beam of trajectories is investigated. The stabilization error is characterized by the average value of the energy integral. Taking into account the realized accuracy of execution of commands for turning on and off the engines, the problem of conditional minimization becomes discrete. Optimal control of a single trajectory is used to control the beam. This approach, based on the principle of separation, leads to suboptimal beam management, which, however, turns out to be acceptable for practice.

Abstract: The results of processing magnetic measurements performed on the Photon-12 satellite are described. The processing was carried out in order to reconstruct the uncontrolled rotational motion of this satellite. During the re-processing, a simpler rotational motion model was used than during the processing performed immediately after the flight. Simplifications are made in such a way that the new model corresponds to the models used by V. V. Beletsky in his theoretical analysis of the evolution of the uncontrolled rotational motion of a satellite in the case when this motion is close to the regular precession of the Eulerian axisymmetric solid. This made it possible to interpret the evolution of the rotational motion of the Photon-12 and explain the emergence of the motion mode established by the end of the flight.

Abstract: The approximation of the actual uncontrolled rotational motion of the Photon-12 satellite by periodic solutions of a generalized conservative system of differential equations is constructed. For this purpose, repeated processing of the magnetic measurements performed on board was carried out. When re-processing, a simplified mathematical model of rotational motion was used. The actual orbit of the satellite has been replaced by a circular orbit, the expression for the aerodynamic moment acting on the satellite has been simplified. The system of differential equations underlying the new model is autonomous and proved to be sufficiently accurate to reconstruct the motion of the satellite by magnetic measurements.

Abstract: The influence of the geometry of the spatial serif – the relative position in space of the receiver and satellites, signals from which are received by the receiver at the time of measurement – on the positioning accuracy is considered. In a rectangular spatial coordinate system, the position of the satellite is described in terms of geometric range, directional angle and elevation angle. The geometric factor is expressed in terms of the diagonal elements of the inverse weight matrix of the position errors of the determined point. The change of the geometric factor for symmetrical satellite arrangement schemes is investigated - with a uniform arrangement along the horizon and on the hemisphere.

Abstract: The subject of research in the article is the autonomous control of a grouping of small spacecraft. Information interaction between the satellites of the grouping and between satellites and ground stations is an integral element of autonomous planning and management. The grouping of satellites and the set of ground points as a whole form a VET network (Delay-and-Disruption Tolerant Network). The transmission of messages to the final recipient in such a network generally occurs through a chain of intermediate nodes in the "remembered – transmitted" mode. The article describes the agent-oriented satellite grouping model being developed, which at the initial stage of the study is mainly intended to study this factor and obtain quantitative indicators of such time estimates depending on various factors.

Abstract: A relay algorithm is proposed for controlling a grouping of spacecraft (spacecraft), which includes a "passive" (virtual) spacecraft moving in an undisturbed circular orbit, and several "active" spacecraft maneuvering relative to it. Modified Hill-Clohessy-Wiltshire equations are used to describe the movement of maneuvering satellites relative to the center of the grouping, taking into account the compression of the Earth and aerodynamic drag. The main attention is paid to the study of the existence of stable limit cycles and finding the areas of their attraction, as well as the search for the values of the parameters of the relay control system that ensure minimum fuel consumption to maintain the proper dynamic behavior of the grouping.

Abstract: The article presents an approach to modeling the reflection spectrum of a high-orbit artificial Earth satellite based on mixing laboratory reflection spectra of materials and coatings, which allows reproducing the spectral distribution of the optical radiation flux reflected from the satellite in the visible range for further processing for the purpose of qualitative and quantitative interpretation of the reflection spectra. The created model made it possible to obtain and compare the reflection spectra of two conventional high-orbit artificial Earth satellites with the same set of materials and coatings included in the structure, but with different proportions of their content on the visible surface. The developed model of the reflection spectrum formation makes it possible to adequately reproduce the spectral distribution of the optical radiation flux reflected from the satellite in the visible range.

Abstract: The validation of measurements of vertical temperature profiles by the IKFS-2 device of the Meteor-M satellite no.?2 in cloudless conditions based on comparisons with radiosonde measurements and NCEP GFS analysis results. It is shown that the coordination of the vertical resolution leads to a decrease in the root-mean-square difference of the results of the two measurement methods from 0.2 to 1 K, depending on the altitude in the atmosphere.
