Actual aspects of mathematical modeling

   

 

The publications presented at the exhibition address a wide range of issues related to modern methods of mathematical modeling of physical and chemical processes and phenomena, the security of information and technical systems, the use of mathematical methods and models to solve practical problems in various fields of activity. The materials of the exhibition contain scientific and methodological, practical information, as well as examples of software implementation of mathematical models.

The publications presented at the exhibition are addressed to researchers, teachers and specialists in mathematical modeling in various fields of science and practice, as well as students and postgraduates of the educational directions "applied mathematics", "computer science and cybernetics".

During the preparation of the exhibition, monographs, abstracts of dissertations, conference materials, periodicals, textbooks and manuals from the State Scientific Library of Russia, as well as publications from the scientific electronic library were used "eLIBRARY.RU ", electronic library systems "ZNANIUM.COM ", BOOK.RU, Lan, digital educational resource "IPR SMART" for the last three years.

The materials of the exhibition can be found in the Literature Hall on Ecology and Priority Areas of Science and Technology of the main library building from July 29 to August 27, 2022. Abstract: The monograph outlines the basics of a superelement method for modeling two-phase filtration flows occurring during the development of an oil reservoir. Modeling is carried out in two stages in order to reduce the spatial and temporal scales of the processes under study. At the first stage of modeling the development of an oil deposit, a long-term (for decades) model of global flooding dynamics is built on a superelement calculation grid with a step equal to the average distance between wells (200-500 m). Local filtration flows caused by the action of geological and technical methods of impact on the formation are modeled at the second stage using special mathematical models using high-resolution computational grids with details in space from 0.1 to 10 m and in time from 102 to 105 s. The results of applying the above models to solving practical problems of oil reservoir development are presented. Particular attention is paid to the issue of transferring the values of the filtration-capacitance properties of the reservoir from the detailed grid of the geological model to a larger grid of the filtration model. It is intended for specialists in the field of mathematical and numerical modeling of filtration flows occurring during the development of oil fields, using traditional commercial software packages for this, as well as developing their own software.

Abstract: The monograph discusses the issues of mathematical modeling of the mechanical behavior of viscoplastic liquids such as suspensions, which demonstrate the manifestation of the "hardening" effect. For such liquids, rheological models of a combined type are proposed, the peculiarity of which is as follows. The dependence of the tangential stress on the shear rate at certain ranges of its change is described by fairly simple power-type functions by analogy with the spline interpolation technique. Abstract: The neural network apparatus is being intensively developed and successfully applied to solving practical problems of the oil and gas complex. Neural network algorithms are widely used in the field of difficult to formalize, poorly formalized and non-formalized tasks. Numerous successful examples of neural network algorithms have led to the illusory impression that success is guaranteed a priori for any of their applications. The article aims to dispel this misconception and, as far as possible, prevent attempts to build neural network algorithms doomed to failure in advance where it is not justified by the technological nature of the problem. Examples are given, two series of publications are analyzed, one of which relates to the problem of oil and gas field development, and the other to the operational management of gas transmission systems. It is proved that the neural network algorithms proposed in the publications cannot replace and even more so improve the existing methods of solving production problems.

Abstract: The scientific and theoretical work is devoted to the generalization of existing methods and means of detecting aerial targets on an atmospheric background from the ground. The monograph analyzes the experimentally obtained data, mathematical models are constructed and the main properties of the intrinsic infrared radiation of the atmospheric background are revealed. Based on the identified properties, the spatial distribution of atmospheric background radiation, a method of "background compensation" is proposed. The method allows using the identified features of the atmospheric background to divide the set of elements of the phono-target image into subsets of elements belonging to the image of the background and the target. Using the method, several methods of detecting an aerial target against an atmospheric background have been developed. The methods are based on the correlation and spectral spatial properties of the atmospheric background. To test the operability of the proposed method and methods, mathematical modeling of the process of detecting an aerial target on an atmospheric background under various meteorological situations was carried out. The publication is intended for researchers, teachers, graduate students, university students, cadets of higher military educational institutions of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

When deriving differential equations of motion of the systems under consideration, the Hamilton variational principle is used, while taking into account the cases of Euler-Bernoulli and Timoshenko beams. A number of computational schemes are considered, differing in the number of systems of solids, their configuration, and ways of connecting bodies to each other. The method of investigation of natural and forced oscillations is described, the central place in which is the method of obtaining a generalized solution of the boundary value problem. A comparative analysis of the proposed approach is carried out. Illustrative material is presented, which reflects numerical calculations of the frequencies and forms of natural oscillations, as well as the amplitude-frequency characteristics of forced oscillations. The solution of the initial boundary value problem is proposed, which consists in determining the oscillations of the systems under consideration in time at their given initial positions and velocities. The natural oscillations of an inhomogeneous rod with a solid body are investigated. Abstract: In the modern world, robotic devices are increasingly coming to help people. They solve both domestic and industrial problems. When designing any object, one inevitably has to face testing in various conditions. To do this, you can build a test model, but if the object is quite complex and several models need to be built at once, mathematical modeling can help save labor and material resources. The article presents mathematical modeling of processes based on typical functional blocks in the form of systems of differential-algebraic equations. Mathematical modeling and control algorithm are considered as a set of interrelated structures. The robot's motion is simulated in the forward direction of rotation of the wheels, the reverse direction of rotation and the reverse directions of rotation. A model of the control device is constructed, which, by the magnitude of the deviation of the current orientation of the wheeled robot from the set one, forms control actions on the wheel motor. These influences allow you to bring the orientation of the robot to the desired orientation. The quality characteristics for different values of the robot rotation speed are obtained. Despite the fact that this model ignores the influence of many forces arising during movement, it allows us to identify the influence of factors such as the radius of the wheels, the distance between them, the amount of voltage applied to the motors during rotation on the movement and trajectory of the robot.

Abstract: Automation of the assembly of cylindrical parts remains an urgent task of mechanical engineering technology and robotic systems are increasingly used to solve it, based on mathematical modeling of the alignment process. The whole process of automatic assembly is a mechanical movement of parts, which means that the reliability and quality of this process depend on how accurately the mechanical movement transmitted to the parts by the assembly device corresponds to the objective laws of movement necessary for their combination. Therefore, the design of assembly devices, as well as mathematical modeling of the processes of automatic assembly of cylindrical parts should be based on the laws of mechanical motion. This paper presents a study of all possible options for the movement of cylindrical parts in the process of their combination, performed in accordance with the laws of theoretical mechanics. As a result of the analysis, regularities have been established and differential equations have been compiled for all variants of shaft movement. The results obtained are a mathematical model of the alignment process necessary for computer simulation of the process of automatic assembly of parts by industrial robots.

Abstract: The aim of the study is mathematical modeling of the adaptive control system of the rehabilitation exoskeletal complex, which allows taking into account the effects of human interaction with the executive links of the drive system, including detecting the appearance of the spasticity effect. To achieve this goal, the authors of the work solved the following tasks: development of the concept of human-machine interaction, description of the information infrastructure of the exoskeleton complex; development of the structure of an adaptive control system that allows to take into account the interaction of a person with a robot during movement; development of a mathematical model of a human-machine system (HMS) and setting up computational experiments to test adaptive control algorithms under various conditions, development of a method for detecting the phenomenon of spasticity and an algorithm of an adaptive control system that ensures patient safety. Biomechanical and physiological properties of the manipulated object, mechanical properties of the power elements of the structure, as well as the features of the information system of the electromechanical device are taken into account when constructing a mathematical model of the PMS. The paper uses a mathematical model represented by a system of second-order differential equations describing the dynamics of the joint movement of the executive links of the exoskeleton and the operator's limb. In the course of numerical simulation, time diagrams of changes in the rotation angles of the exoskeleton links and the operator's leg, the laws of change of torques in the joints and the forces on the cuffs characterizing human-machine interaction under various modes and operating conditions of the device were obtained. Based on the obtained results of mathematical modeling of the functioning of the CHMS, conclusions are drawn about the applicability of the proposed adaptive control system algorithms for various modes and conditions of the exoskeletal complex, including for the rehabilitation of patients with the possibility of spasticity.

Abstract: The monograph presents a number of basic methods of mathematical and computer modeling of economic processes. The conceptual apparatus and theoretical material are presented in the form of a system of strict definitions and theorems, provided with detailed proofs, explanations and examples. Special attention is paid to the possibilities of computer implementation of models using Microsoft Excel and Wolfram Mathermatica. Abstract: The monograph describes an approach that allows us to formally describe the emerging uncertainties in linear optimization problems. A generalized parametric alpha-level method of lambda continuation of the fuzzy linear programming problem is considered. Two methods are proposed in the model, taking into account the extensions of the binary fuzzy relation ("strong" and "weak"). The paper describes a simulation study that provided a set of stable statistics confirming the capabilities of the method. Using the theory described in this monograph, the decision-maker receives more information showing the behavior of the system with small changes in input parameters in order to make more informed conclusions about the choice of financing of an investment project. This monograph uses the Altman model, the apparatus of the theory of fuzzy sets and mathematical simulation in conditions of high uncertainty, in order to give more information to the person making the decision on the creditworthiness of the enterprise, as well as the possible impact of an error on the conclusion of bankruptcy of the enterprise when calculating economic indicators. The improved Altman model, developed initially in two ways (the root-mean-square integral approximation is used to accurately calculate the quantitative assessment of creditworthiness and the fuzzy sets apparatus in order to order the sets according to the degree of confidence in the obtained probability), is expanded by presenting the input data as triangular fuzzy numbers. As a result of the work done, it was possible to construct an algorithm for assessing the creditworthiness of a particular enterprise, which is based on a continuous dependence of the probability of bankruptcy on the value of the Altman function.
