Reliability of complex systems

   

 

The publications presented at the exhibition address current issues related to the reliability of machines and complex systems. Theoretical and practical issues of reliability of complex systems at various stages of their life cycle are presented. The methods of ensuring and improving reliability at the stages of design, serial production and operation are given. Information is presented on the physical processes of malfunction of objects, mathematical methods of reliability calculations, measures aimed at improving the reliability and survivability of systems. The contribution of domestic scientists to the development of a promising scientific direction – forecasting the reliability of machines and mechanisms is noted, examples of successful solutions to problems of increasing the resource of technical facilities in various industries and production are given.

The exhibition is held as part of the All-Russian Science Festival "Science 0+". During the preparation of the exhibition, publications from the fund of the State Scientific Library of Russia were used: monographs, collections of scientific papers, textbooks and manuals, conference materials, articles from specialized journals, as well as publications from electronic library systems "BOOK.RU ", "Doe", "ZNANIUM.COM " "ibooks.ru ", digital educational resource "IPR SMART", scientific electronic library "eLIBRARY.RU ".

Abstract: The basic concepts in the field of safety and reliability of technical systems and their most important indicators are given. The methods of ensuring the safety and reliability of products at various stages of their life cycle are systematized: during development, production and operation. The main attention is paid to the methods of qualitative analysis and preventive methods of dealing with failures. A significant place is occupied by the systematic presentation of the modern theory of probabilistic and statistical analysis of the safety of complex technical products. The methodology of "acceptable risk" has been adopted as the basic concept. The application of probabilistic security analysis methods is illustrated by a large number of examples. It can be used in the educational process in a wide range of areas (specialties) of engineering and technology, especially in the training of personnel specializing in testing, design and operation of complex technical systems. It is of interest to scientists and specialists in the field of aviation, rocket science and space.

The energy principles of determining the critical length of the main crack and estimating the total length of longitudinal fractures of gas pipelines are described. The possibility of spontaneous ignition of a mixture of gas and air and the detonation nature of the propagation of destruction of gas pipelines is shown. The analysis of operational and temperature working conditions and causes of failures and damages of gas pipelines is given. Such a decision on repair or replacement can be made on the basis of an assessment of the residual life for the main structural elements and welded joints of the platform, taking into account the accumulated damage. The paper presents a technique that allows us to estimate the value of the endurance limit for elements of a marine platform with accumulated fatigue damage. In addition, based on the conducted experimental studies, the author evaluated the effectiveness of welding joint repair technologies in terms of extending their service life. The paper also investigates the influence of corrosion processes and temperature and vibration-vibration effects on the resource of the offshore platform and suggests measures to extend the resource of the offshore platform. A method of thermal diagnostics has also been developed that allows determining the depth of corrosion defects based on data on the temperature difference between damaged corrosion and defect-free zones.

The analytical calculation of the critical rotation frequencies of the rotors is based on the use of simplified equivalent models that allow to reduce a multi-disc rotor to a system with one degree of freedom and apply them to study the first bending shape of the rotor vibrations. The cases of dynamic behavior of rotors, as in synchronous' so it is with an out-of-sync procession, as well as taking into account the malleability of elastic supports. A new concept is presented for determining the critical frequencies of rotors by modal analysis, which can be performed on simplified flat finite element models, which significantly simplifies and reduces the calculation time. The study of the unconventional behavior of rotors in the event of plane vibrations in rotating rotors, previously initiated by the authors, is continued and a number of technical solutions for the passage and safe operation of aircraft engines at critical rotational frequencies are proposed. One of the main features of the operation of engines at maximum operating conditions is that over time, with minimal reserve coefficients, plastic deformations and weakening of individual rotor assemblies occur. The mechanism of occurrence of plastic deformations in the coupling elements of the package of rear disks of a high-pressure compressor is considered and the effect of weakening at the joints of the rotor nodes and axial connections between the disks on the critical rotational speeds of the rotors is estimated. The book is of interest to design engineers working in the Design Bureau and at gas turbine enterprises. In addition, the book may be useful to students, postgraduates and researchers working in the field of studying the dynamics of multivalent systems.
